NT Youth

We began monitoring youth players in 2007. The aim is to find players whose age and skills make them worthy of the attention of U-20 scouts once they reach the age of 17. All monitored youngsters are added to a database where we sort them according to their age, position and specialty, and they currently number over 3000. There are two ways to find them:

1. Closely follow the Forum, especially the topics on skilled youngsters and training tips for the Youth Academy.

2. Get in touch with teams that run Youth Academies. We monitor players under the age of 17, who possess at least one solid skillcap or whose overall qualities are at least inadequate.

Example:

I think I have found a skilled youngster for you. His name is X and he is 15 years old. If he develops well, I would say this chap can emerge with solid Playmaking before joining the senior squad.

or:

Right, this weeks candidate is 16 years of age and is called Y. I would say as an allrounder, he’s inadequate. If he develops well, I would say this chap can emerge with weak Playmaking before joining the senior squad. This player has weak Passing at this point in his career.

The younger the player and the better his potential in secondary skills, the higher his chances, as long as he has the optimal age. Here’s a link to help you find out if your player’s age can be considered optimal: http://ht-ro.org/site/u20age.html

As you probably know, it is preferred that U-20 National Team players play throughout a season’s NT campaign, to avoid taking up space in the squad and/or lose Team Spirit if that player is removed from the squad before the season’s end. This means a player will need to have, at most, the age shown in the “Final” or “Qualifiers 14.Matchday” areas under the Match column. This doesn’t mean that a player who would only make it to the Semifinal or qualifying match no. 13 does not have any chances, but they are indeed lower, so he will have to make it up through a good skill level, nice secondary skills or a useful specialty.

Since not everyone can accurately interpret the trainer’s messages, we also offer technical assistance to find the proper combination of primary and secondary training, according to the data present in the scout report.

If you think you have a youth player that is good enough for the U-20 team, contact your national scouts or update the players here after they are promoted to the senior squad:
